Why Join the PTA? 

The funds raised by your generous donations enhance the lives of our children and staff on a daily basis in many ways that you may not even be aware.  Every day your child walks through the doors of our school she is likely to be touched in some way by the PTA.  Below are some examples of PTA-sponsored programs, events and resources:
  • Teacher and Staff Support @ $20,000
    • Staff Development support
    • Teachers Fund – classroom supplies 
    • Staff Appreciation (lunches, staff appreciation week support, year-end gifts)
  • Curriculum Enhancement @ $12,000
    • Books and supplies for the Media Center
    • Reading and Language Arts materials for our Read Together program
    • Quaver Music program software
  • Cultural Education @ $12,000
    • Artist in Residence Program which included visits by grade of a poets, artist, illustrators and writer 
    • 3rd grade Medieval Banquet and Artist-in-Residence program
    • 2 Cultural Arts assemblies that included an amazing violinist and an inspirational speaker that was born with a congenital bone deficiency
  • Student Activities @ $12,000
    • 5th grade farewell
    • International Night
    • Lego League
    • Playground equipment
    • Field Day
  • Community Building @ $6,000
    • Sister School PTA cash donation
    • Landscaping around the school
    • New parent, International parent and SAC parent meetings
  • Chrome Books (30 computers valued at $10,0000) to be used in the classrooms to enhance student’s learning.

Please review the several opportunities to contribute here in the Fundraising section of our website, from direct donations to the Spring Auction and Dine-Outs. Burning Tree PTA is a 501(c)(3) organization therefore direct donations are tax deductible.
